Hebe only wanted to know who killed her father.

But in a world ruled of magic, the truth is never as simple as murder.

When a strange event reveals that Hebe' belongs higher in the hierarchy of witches, she is pulled into the middle of a society she lived on the fringes of —one built on power, bloodlines, secrets, and carefully guarded magic. 

Her newfound status comes with an ability she cannot explain, doors that open allow her to keep searching for answers, and enemies who will do anything to see her fall. Somewhere among them is the person responsible for her father's death.

As Hebe follows the trail toward the truth, she begins to uncover something far older and more dangerous than the murder she set out to solve.

Her father's death was not an isolated crime.

It was the beginning of something much larger.

And the closer Hebe gets to the truth, the more she must question whether revenge is what she really wants—or whether the truth itself is something they can all survive.
